Summary
HVMN Rise is an excellent nootropic supplement. It is much more of a nootropic than HVMN Sprint. It contains just three ingredients, but it achieves an awful lot with those three ingredients. If you want enhanced focus, memory, mental energy, and clarity, HVMN Rise is a good option.
HVMN Rise Review: What is this nootropic supposed to do?
HVMN Rise – formerly known as Nootrobox Rise – is one of the world’s best-selling natural nootropic supplements. It was actually one of the first nootropic supplements to be marketed to the ‘mainstream’. Before products like HVMN Rise, nootropics were definitely an ‘underground’, niche phenomenon. Today they are an accepted, widely-used class of supplements. It is largely down to companies like HVMN that this is the case.
So what does HVMN Rise do?
According to the HVMN website, Rise is “a daily nootropic stack for your brain and mind–supporting memory, mood, and long-term cognitive resilience”. So we’re obviously dealing with a full-spectrum, complete nootropic here.
Rise is not a short-term cognitive enhancer like HVMN’s other nootropic, HVMN Sprint. It is designed as a comprehensive stack for total brain optimization.
The website lists some specific benefits that HVMN Rise can deliver:
- Enhanced memory function
- Reduced anxiety
- Brain health protection
- Reduced mental fatigue
Sounds like a top quality brain supplement. That is assuming this is all true of course.

HVMN Rise Ingredients
Here is the HVMN Rise formula as displayed on the official website:
We’ll give you a brief overview of each ingredient; explaining what it does for cognitive function, how it works, and the strength of the research behind it. If you have any questions, please post them in the comments at the end.
Bacopa monnieri – 300mg (50% bacoside extract)
Bacopa monnieri is an adaptogen and one of the staple herbs of Ayurverdic medicine. Many of its traditional uses are – as you might expect – bunk. But modern science has found that Bacopa monnieri does indeed have one interesting property: it massively improves memory retention and recall. Supplementing with Bacopa monnieri for 6 to 12 weeks has been repeatedly shown to improve scores on a range of memory tests. This one works, especially if you’re taking 300mg of a powerful 50% bacoside extract like we get from Rise!
Ashwagandha – 250mg (10% withanolides)
Ashwagandha is one of the best natural anxiety suppressants in existence. People who consume ashwagandha will see a significant drop in cortisol levels within a couple of hours. This takes away the worst physical symptoms of stress, and reduces the most irritating mental side effects of anxiety (brain fog, difficulty focusing, poor decision making, etc). Ashwagandha is safe and effective for practically everybody. It is extremely effective for treating anxiety and stress. The 250mg of 10% extract we get from Rise is an excellent serving.
CDP-Choline – 250mg
CDP-Choline is an incredible cognitive enhancer. It rapidly increases focus, heightens alertness, accelerates information processing, and supports good working memory. It also promotes brain cell membrane health and structural integrity. No matter what your goals are – be it short-term increases in focus and clarity or more long-term brain development – Citicoline is a fantastic supplement. The 250mg we get from Rise is more than enough to see real benefits.
Our take on the Rise formula
HVMN Rise is a fantastic short-term nootropic. It is one of the best fast-acting nootropics on the market right now, no doubt about that. It uses just three ingredients, which is far fewer than most brain supplements. But with those three ingredients, it hits the most important short-term aspects of cognitive performance.
The 250mg of CDP-Choline will rapidly increase focus and boost learning capacity.
The 250mg of Ashwagandha will lower anxiety and produce a state of clear, calm mental clarity.
If you use Rise for a period of 8 weeks or more, the 300mg of Bacopa monnieri will significantly improve memory retention, accuracy and recall.
That’s focus, learning, clarity, stress, and memory all dealt with.
There are limitations to this stack, however. It is not long-term at all. The HVMN Rise formula doesn’t contribute to neurogenesis or long-term brain development. It doesn’t provide any anti-oxidants to protect brain cells from damage.
If you want a short-term fix for focus and anxiety, Rise is a great option. If you want total cognitive enhancement and lasting changes, maybe choose a different stack!
Side Effects: Is HVMN Rise safe?
HVMN Rise looks perfectly safe for long-term, frequent use. In our opinion it looks highly unlikely to cause any side effects whatsoever. Even mild side effects are uncommon with these ingredients.
Each ingredient in HVMN Rise has been subject to multiple clinical trials over many years. None of them have been found to pose significant risks to health, even from long-term use. In the course of our research we have never seen a trial in which participants experienced serious side effects from these substances.
HVMN Rise should be safe and side effect-free for 99.9% of users.
Of course, everybody is different. If you do experience any side effects while using HVMN Rise, stop using it right away, get medical attention, and contact HVMN for their advice.
In Conclusion – Is HVMN Rise a good nootropic?
HVMN Rise looks like a top quality nootropic to us.
The Rise formula covers the most important facets of short to medium-term cognitive enhancement. It boosts focus, enhances learning capacity, reduces anxiety, and promotes working memory if used for a prolonged period.
The fact that it has been on the market for so long makes this an even more impressive stack – it is still a competitive supplement, on par with some of the best nootropics on the market today.
If you are a busy professional looking for some support getting through a busy period at work, or a student in need of some help during finals, HVMN Rise is a very good option. It’s effective, natural, side effect-free, and very reasonably priced.
Its only limitation is that it doesn’t promote neurogenesis, neuroplasticity, or long-term brain development. The improvements in cognitive function achieved with Rise will therefore not remain after you’ve stopped using it.
If you want a supplement for rapid cognitive enhancement, HVMN Rise will work.
But if you want a stack which delivers total brain enhancement – with both short and long-term, lasting benefits – you’ll need to use a more complete stack.
