When Do Mind Lab Pro’s Main Benefits Kick In?
The most interesting ingredients in Mind Lab Pro – in our opinion – are Bacopa monnieri, Lion’s Mane Mushroom, Citicoline, and Maritime Pine Bark Extract.
These ingredients don’t have any immediate effects; they certainly don’t have the same kind of immediate effects as Modafinil or the racetams.
Bacopa monnieri only seems to bring about significant improvements in memory function after 6 weeks. Studies have found that there is no difference between Bacopa monnieri and placebo after 4 weeks. But after 12 weeks, there are significant differences in memory function between people using Bacopa monnieri and people taking placebo.
The same goes for Lion’s Mane Mushroom. This nootropic increases Nerve Growth Factor, which does have some short-term, immediate effects. However, the real benefits only start to become apparent weeks or months down the line. Having higher levels of NGF in your brain will maximize nerve growth and maintenance, which means better cognitive function in the future.
Citicoline does produce a noticeable increase in concentration and information processing in the short term. It is certainly much faster-acting than Bacopa monnieri. But like Bacopa monnieri, Citicoline’s main benefits only really ‘kick in’ after you’ve been using it on a regular basis for several weeks.
And obviously, Maritime Pine Bark safeguards brain cell health over the long term. It is a potent source of antioxidants which readily cross the blood-brain barrier and maximize blood flow in the brain. You aren’t going to see a massive increase in focus or learning capacity from Maritime Pine Bark after a week or two. But 6 months down the line? Absolutely.
So if you really want to get the most out of Mind Lab Pro – and there is a lot to get out of it – use it for at least 12 weeks before taking a break.
How Long Should You Use Mind Lab Pro For?
Honestly, we think there is no real cap on the amount of time you should be using this nootropic for – in our experience, the longer you use it, the more pronounced the benefits become.
We have actually found that the more time you use Mind Lab Pro for, the longer the benefits last; after you stop using it, you retain your higher cognitive functioning for weeks and months thereafter.
The only thing you might want to consider taking is a tolerance break.
Using anything every day for months will increase your tolerance.
It just wont hit you as hard as it did in the past.
Taking a break of a couple of weeks is usually enough to reset your tolerance. If you’ve been using Mind Lab Pro for a few months, then taking a 2-week break might significantly increase how much you ‘feel’ the stack working when you hop back on.
