ZzzQuil is a natural sleep aid designed to promote deeper, restful sleep.
It is supposed to be a healthier, safer, natural alternative to synthetic sleeping pills.
But natural sleep aids aren’t 100% side effect-free.
Obviously, some sleep supplements are safer than others. Some very high quality sleeping stacks do not cause any side effects whatsoever in 99.99% of users. In many cases, people use sleep aids for years without ever experiencing any negative, unwanted effects.
But some people do experience some mild side effects while using natural sleep aids.
Common side effects include grogginess or lingering drowsiness in the morning.
Now, generally speaking, only low quality or poorly designed sleep aids will cause drowsiness.
So does ZzzQuil make you drowsy?
Will ZzzQuil leave you feeling drowsy first thing in the morning?
Let’s take a look at the ZzzQuil formula and find out!
Will ZzzQuil make you feel drowsy?
ZzzQuil claims to enhance multiple different aspects of your sleep, from making you fall asleep faster to helping keep you in a deep state of sleep for longer.
The website doesn’t say anything specifically about drowsiness.
However, one of the main benefits of ZzzQuil, according to the website, is that it helps you wake up feeling refreshed, without any lingering grogginess.
This is one of the main reasons that people use natural sleep aids; they don’t want to kind of foggy brain that you get while using pharmaceutical-grade sleep supplements.
So does ZzzQuil really help you wake up feeling alert? Does it not cause drowsiness?
In our opinion, it’s very difficult to say with any certainty whether or not ZzzQuil will make you drowsy.
This is because ZzzQuil doesn’t show each individual ingredient serving size. Instead, the manufacturer lists all of the ingredients in ZzzQuil together as part of a big proprietary blend.
In our opinion, there is really no excuse for proprietary blends. There’s no need to use them; the only reason manufacturers use them is to stop you from seeing how bad their products really are!
That said, we can still look at the proprietary blend and make reasonable guess. None of the ingredients in ZzzQuil are known to cause drowsiness, even in large doses. The only truly active ingredient in the prop blend is lemon balm, which just reduces night-time anxiety. So it is highly unlikely that you’ll feel drowsy while using ZzzQuil.
However, if you check out our review of ZzzQuil, you’ll learn that we don’t think it is particularly great at making you feel sleepier at night either!
